Who is Zanagroove? Originating in 2007 as the seven-member band Heckle and Jive, Zanagroove has slimmed down to a tight trio.

Zanetell belts out powerful lead vocals. Handmaker brings wit and grit to the songs that he leads. With Huxsol on drums and Handmaker on guitar, Zanetell rounds out their sound on accordion and melodica. This spices up cover songs like "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder and "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley.

In addition to an eclectic mix of fun and funky covers, Zanagroove features originals by Zanetell and Handmaker. They have been invited performers in the SOMOS (Society of the Muse of the Southwest) Writers Series on several occasions. Themes such as love and loss, as well as social commentary, are expressed in humorous, heartfelt and sometimes edgy lyrics.

Based in Taos, NM, Zanagroove performs at local venues and for community events and fundraisers.
